🤖 Unitree's Dancing Robots Stun the Judges on America's Got Talent

Chinese robotics maker Unitree stunned the Season 21 premiere of America's Got Talent with a troupe of humanoid robots that danced in perfect sync alongside a human performer to Lady Gaga's “Abracadabra.” Simon Cowell called the act “insane, nuts, but brilliant,” and all four judges voted yes, sending the robots through.

• Cheap hardware, real moves – The performance showed how far affordable, off-the-shelf humanoids have come in balance, coordination and crowd-ready expressiveness.

• Mainstream moment – The act went viral and pushed humanoid robots out of lab demo reels and squarely into prime-time pop culture.

When robots can nail live choreography on national TV, the gap between lab demo and real-world deployment is closing fast. 🔍 Microsoft Just Built a Search Engine Only for AI Agents

At Build 2026, Microsoft unveiled Web IQ, a search engine built for AI agents rather than people. Instead of returning whole web pages, it feeds agents passage-level evidence in under 165 milliseconds, roughly 2.5 times faster than rivals, aiming to make Bing the grounding layer for the agentic web.

• Search for machines, not humans – Web IQ returns concise, structured passages and evidence objects instead of full pages, improving signal and saving tokens for agent workflows.

• Built for speed – Microsoft claims sub-165ms responses 95% of the time, about 2.5 times faster than any rival, using its open-sourced embedding model and DiskANN vector retrieval.

• Grounding to cut hallucinations – By feeding fresh, attributable web data into an agent’s reasoning loop, Web IQ aims to reduce hallucinations and support more complex tasks.

• Not open yet – Unveiled at Build, Web IQ is taking expressions of interest but has not set pricing, general availability or launch partners.

Ahead of a June 23 to 26 Prime Day, Amazon unveiled a wave of AI shopping features built on Alexa. Alexa for Shopping now creates personalized deal guides, tracks a 365-day price history, sends price alerts, and can even auto-buy an item the moment it hits your target price, no clicks required.

• Personalized deal guides – Alexa builds a custom Prime Day guide from your purchase history and explains why each deal is recommended, then pings you when it’s ready.

• Auto-buy on your behalf – Set a target price and Alexa completes the purchase automatically with your default payment when an item drops, so you never miss a deal.

• Smarter research – Price History shows a full year of pricing, while Amazon Lens and “Hear the Highlights” add visual search and AI audio summaries of products.
