😳 OpenAI Built a Hacking AI. Who Gets It?
GPT-5.6-Cyber answers only to vetted red teams, Ryanair just handed crew scheduling to Google's AI, and Anthropic killed a 50% Claude price hike.

Somewhere between the third "let's circle back" and an endless Slack thread, you started skimming business news instead of actually understanding it. Can't blame you—most of it reads like a lifeless shareholder memo.
Sound familiar? Morning Brew fixes that. Inflation, global trade, the weird stuff happening in business—we cover it like a smart friend explaining the news, minus the boring parts. Plenty of puns, plenty of sense.
Business news doesn't have to be boring. Join over 4 million professionals who found the loophole.
Hello There!
OpenAI just shipped an AI that is allowed to hack things, which means the model that keeps refusing you is now simply a different pricing tier. Ryanair has handed crew scheduling and maintenance planning to Google's AI, which means the next delay you never experience may have been prevented by an algorithm. And Anthropic killed a 50% price hike three weeks before it landed, which means the AI price war has finally started working in your favor.
In today's AI Pulse
🛡️ OpenAI Unleashes Hacker AI – A new GPT-5.6-Cyber model stops refusing authorized offensive security work.
✈️ Ryanair Trusts Google AI – Gemini agents take over crew scheduling, disruption and maintenance planning.
💸 Anthropic Kills Price Hike – Claude Sonnet 5's 50% increase is canceled, permanently.

🧠 The Pulse
OpenAI has launched GPT-5.6-Cyber, a model purpose-trained for offensive and defensive security work, and split its Daybreak program into Blue and Red access tiers. The specialized model stops refusing authorized exploit research. A day later, OpenAI made both tiers available to eligible Amazon Bedrock customers inside AWS.
📌 The Download
A model built to break things – GPT-5.6-Cyber, built on GPT-5.6 Sol, is trained for vulnerability discovery, exploit validation and exploit-chain development that standard models refuse outright.
Two tiers, two missions – Daybreak Blue gives approved defenders safeguarded models; Daybreak Red gives vetted researchers the purpose-trained cyber models for higher-risk red-team work.
The gap is enormous – OpenAI says GPT-5.6-Cyber completed 95% of requests on its Advanced Cybersecurity Completion Rate evaluation, against 1.5% for safeguarded GPT-5.6 Sol.
AWS is the front door – On August 11 both Daybreak tiers went live for eligible Amazon Bedrock customers, landing inside existing AWS governance and access controls.
💡 What This Means for You
Powerful AI is being unbundled into gated, identity-verified tiers with monitoring attached. The same pattern is coming to finance, healthcare and legal work, where the capable model sits behind an approval process. Governance literacy, knowing who is cleared for what and why, is becoming as valuable as knowing how to prompt.

🧠 The Pulse
Europe's largest airline by passengers has signed a five-year deal with Google Cloud to push Gemini and DeepMind models deep into its operations. Ryanair will use AI agents for crew scheduling, disruption management, fleet operations and maintenance planning, and roll Google Workspace out to roughly 35,000 employees.
📌 The Download
Five years, one big bet – Ryanair signed a five-year Google Cloud agreement to expand Gemini and DeepMind technology across the airline's day-to-day operations.
Agents get real decisions – The carrier plans custom Gemini Enterprise agents that automate selected calls on crew scheduling and cut operational disruption.
DeepMind joins the flight deck – AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext will feed fleet operations and maintenance scheduling, wiring frontier research straight into operational planning.
Dual cloud, not a switch – Workspace and Cloud roll out to about 35,000 employees while Ryanair keeps AWS for resilience. Financial terms were not disclosed.
💡 What This Means for You
This is what enterprise AI actually looks like: not a chatbot, but agents wired into scheduling, planning and maintenance decisions at a company chasing 300 million passengers a year. The same pattern is coming to your workflows. The valuable skill is knowing when to trust the automation, when to verify it, and when human judgment still wins.

🧠 The Pulse
Anthropic has made Claude Sonnet 5's introductory API pricing permanent, scrapping the increase that was due the moment August ended. Input stays at $2 per million tokens and output at $10, instead of climbing to $3 and $15. The move lands as Anthropic prepares to go public this fall.
📌 The Download
The hike is dead – Sonnet 5's launch pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens is now permanent, not an offer expiring August 31.
A 50% bill avoided – The scrapped increase would have taken rates to $3 and $15 per million tokens, a 50% jump for every team already running Sonnet 5 in production.
Stability is the pitch – Anthropic framed the decision as giving enterprises building agentic workflows more predictable cost expectations.
An IPO backdrop – Anthropic filed confidentially in June and is expected to list this fall, making predictable pricing a useful signal to enterprise buyers and investors alike.
💡 What This Means for You
AI inference is behaving like a maturing commodity: competition is pushing prices down, not up. If you shelved an automation because the token math did not work, rerun the numbers this quarter. The deeper lesson is to build workflows you can move between models, so no vendor's pricing decision owns your roadmap.
