Meta's new Muse AI agent turns out to have real people quietly picking up some of its phone calls, which means the smartest assistant in your pocket may still be phoning a friend. Amazon just made OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and Luna generally available inside AWS, which means the AI everyone wants can now run on the cloud your IT team already trusts. And OpenAI just cut GPT-6 prices by 50%, which means the "too expensive to automate" excuse just lost half its argument.

Meta is testing a "human concierge" for Muse, its new personal AI agent, in which call-center contractors take over some of the phone calls the AI places on a user's behalf. Muse, which can email, shop and book travel, passed 2.5 million downloads in its first two weeks and topped U.S. app charts.
📌 The Download
Humans on the line – When Muse needs to call a business, trained contractors in call centers can conduct the conversation for the user, according to internal announcements reviewed by Reuters.
Tested on staff first – Employee testing of phone calling began in August, and the human concierge option rolled out to half of Meta's employees last week, with an opt-out group available.
Privacy flags raised – Some employees warned that sensitive details shared with the agent could end up in front of human contractors, a risk Meta says the test is meant to address.
No launch date yet – Meta calls employee feedback "overwhelmingly positive" and says it will only roll out calling when it is ready and with proper disclosures.
💡 What This Means for You
"Autonomous" often still means a human in the loop you cannot see. Before delegating calls, bookings or purchases to any AI agent, ask who actually handles the task, what data they can view, and how exceptions are logged. Treat it like any outsourced process: map it, control it, audit it.

AWS has made OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna generally available on Amazon Bedrock. Sol targets demanding recurring work such as coding, debugging and data analysis, while Luna handles high-volume jobs like extraction, summarization and classification, all inside the security controls enterprises already run on AWS.

Two models, two jobs – Sol is built for complex multistep work, while Luna is tuned for focused, repeatable tasks where small differences in latency and cost multiply at scale.
Enterprise guardrails included – Access runs through IAM, CloudTrail audit logging and PrivateLink on hardware-isolated infrastructure, with inference data never used for training and optional zero data retention.
Fewer mistakes – AWS says GPT-6 Sol makes roughly half as many factual errors as GPT-5.6 Sol, and both models support prompt caching to reuse instructions across requests.
One console, many models – OpenAI's newest models now sit alongside other major model families in Bedrock, available through the console or APIs across multiple AWS Regions.

The best model is no longer locked inside one vendor's app. If your organization already runs on AWS, GPT-6 can now plug into existing workflows under existing governance. That turns model selection into a process decision: match the model to the task, measure error rates, and track cost per transaction.

OpenAI launched GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, cheaper and faster members of the GPT-6 family built on advances from its flagship GPT-6 Astra. API prices land about 50% below GPT-5.6 equivalents, and both models are live in the API, ChatGPT Work and Codex, with Luna also reaching free desktop users.

Better where it counts – OpenAI reports gains in professional tasks, coding, factuality and computer use, and says Sol's deception rate in adversarial testing fell to 1.3% from 10.4%.
Astra stays on top – GPT-6 Astra remains OpenAI's most capable option for users who prioritize maximum intelligence over speed or price.

When the cost of intelligence halves, the business case for automation changes overnight. Revisit the AI use cases you shelved as too expensive and run a fresh cost-per-task comparison. The winners will not be the teams with the biggest budgets, but those that standardize, measure and scale the right workflows.
