AI is reshaping the way we explore, collaborate, and innovate each day - from real-time answers to smarter tools, new data apps, and instant image generation.
If you work in fintech or finance, you already have too many tabs open and not enough time.
Fintech Takes is the free newsletter senior leaders actually read. Each week, we break down the trends, deals, and regulatory moves shaping the industry — and explain why they matter — in plain English.
No filler, no PR spin, and no “insights” you already saw on LinkedIn eight times this week. Just clear analysis and the occasional bad joke to make it go down easier.
Get context you can actually use. Subscribe free and see what’s coming before everyone else.
🧠The Pulse
Picture this. You ask Google a question out loud. The AI replies right away while showing you useful links at the same time. You ask for a follow up and it keeps the chat going. Google is rolling out Search Live in the US. It makes search feel like a real conversation.
📌The Download
Search Live sits inside the Google app in AI Mode under Labs. Once you tap the Live button you just start talking. The AI answers immediately. You can jump in with new questions, interrupt if needed, or switch to typing using a transcript view.
Unlike the old voice search this feels like a real time chat. Google is using its Gemini powered models to break your query into smaller parts. That way it can fetch more accurate results. While the AI speaks you also see clickable links on screen. The conversation even continues if you move to another app.
Right now it works only in English and only in the US. It is still experimental so you need to join Search Labs to try it. A camera input feature is also planned. This will allow the AI to look at what you show it and respond with context.
💡What This Means for You
This new way of searching can save you time when you want quick, clear answers. Instead of typing and scrolling, you just ask and keep the conversation going. It makes learning faster, exploring topics easier, and helps you discover new information without digging through endless pages.

Microsoft just gave you a new choice in your daily tools. Starting today, you can use Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4 and Claude Opus 4.1 inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. This means you can switch between models, not just rely on OpenAI, and pick the one that fits your work best.
📌The Download
Microsoft made this announcement on September 24, 2025. Claude Sonnet 4 is already active in the Researcher tool with a simple “Try Claude” option. Claude Opus 4.1 is also added through Copilot Studio, so you can build tasks and projects that use both Anthropic and OpenAI models. These features are open to enterprise users who join the opt-in program.
Charles Lamanna, President of Microsoft’s Business Apps and Platform group, said the plan is to bring “the best AI innovation from across the industry.” Anthropic’s Claude runs on Amazon Web Services, but Microsoft connects it through Anthropic’s API so you can use it directly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint without extra setup.
Early tests show different strengths. Claude Sonnet 4 is strong in long research, drafting detailed reports, and summarizing sources. Claude Opus 4.1 helps with creative work such as slides in PowerPoint and calculations in Excel. Copilot Studio also allows developers to mix several models in one workflow, which Microsoft says will open new ways of working.
💡What This Means for You
This update gives you more power to learn and create. You can try different AI minds side by side and see which one gives better answers. It can help you write clearer notes, explore new ideas, or make school projects faster. Now you get to pick the AI that fits you best.

An iPhone app named Neon has quickly reached No 2 on the US App Store. It pays people for recording their phone calls. Those recordings are then sold to AI companies that need real human voices. Many users are excited about easy money, while experts warn of big privacy risks.
📌The Download
Neon offers 0.30¢ per minute when two Neon users call each other and pays up to $30 per day for calls made to other numbers. Some users even report earning close to $19 per hour. The catch is that payments only count if calls are made through the Neon app.
The terms of service give Neon wide control over recordings. The company can store them, share them, or sell them worldwide. It says calls are anonymized before reaching AI buyers, yet privacy lawyers warn that voices can still be traced back or even cloned for scams and impersonation.
Sources tested Neon and found that people on the other side of the call were not told they were being recorded. In states that require two party consent this could create legal trouble for users. Despite these risks Neon still reached higher than WhatsApp and Instagram with promises of hundreds or even thousands of dollars per year.
💡What This Means for You
This story shows how fast apps can turn personal data into money. Knowing how Neon works helps you see how AI companies value your everyday conversations. Even if you never use Neon, understanding this tradeoff between cash and privacy gives you power to make smarter choices with any new app.
🧠The Pulse
Now you can create professional AI images directly inside WhatsApp. There is no need to download the Gemini app or open a website. Just type your prompt or share a photo, and the Nano Banana AI tool will instantly generate results. For everyday WhatsApp users, this changes how creativity fits into daily chats.
📌The Download
The launch began in India through Perplexity AI’s WhatsApp bot, and millions of users already started trying it. To use it, you only need to save the Perplexity number and send a message. You can type any idea or upload a photo for editing. If you want Gemini Nano Banana to handle the request, you must write its name in your message.
The engine behind this is Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model. It can create new pictures or edit existing ones with strong detail and fast speed. Each AI image includes an invisible watermark so that people know it is AI-made. The free plan allows 3 high-quality creations each day and 10 medium-quality ones. For unlimited access, there is a Pro plan for paying users.
Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Perplexity AI, showed how it works by editing his own selfie and making himself bald in just seconds. Many users say the output looks better than Meta AI’s version inside WhatsApp. Still, experts remind people that all images and prompts go through third-party servers. This means you should avoid sending private or sensitive photos if you care about data safety.
💡What This Means for You
WhatsApp is no longer just for chats. Now you can explore AI creativity without learning complex tools. You can turn your photos into fun edits, create unique images for personal use, or simply test how smart the technology feels. It is a new way to play, learn, and discover.

📺 YouTube Adds Hide Button: YouTube will now let you hide the popups and video suggestions that show up at the end of videos. A new “Hide” button makes it easy to remove them so you can focus only on the video. These popups have been around for years but many viewers found them annoying. YouTube says this change is because people asked for a cleaner, less distracting experience.
🌍 Google Expands AI Plus: Google has launched its cheaper AI Plus plan in over 40 countries. Places like Nigeria, Vietnam, Mexico, Egypt, and the Philippines can now access AI tools at a lower cost. The plan is meant to make AI more affordable and easy to use for more people. Google hopes this will help spread AI to new regions around the world.
