🧠The Pulse

An AI just worked for 30 hours without rest. It built a Slack-style chat app and wrote 11,000 lines of code from start to finish. Anthropic’s new Claude Sonnet 4.5 shows what happens when AI stops being a helper and starts acting like a coworker who never gets tired.

📌The Download

  • Anthropic says Claude Sonnet 4.5 is now its strongest model for coding and agent tasks. In testing it stayed active for 30 hours and created a full chat app similar to Slack and Teams. Older models stopped after about 7 hours which shows a big jump in power and reliability.

  • The model goes beyond coding and now manages calendars, searches the web in depth and handles multiple AI agents at once. Reports say accuracy in finance, science and operating system tasks jumped to nearly 60% compared with around 40% in earlier versions. Microsoft has already started putting Claude inside Office Copilot tools like Excel and Word.

  • Anthropic is also pushing safety. Sources confirm Claude 4.5 is tuned to follow human intent more closely while blocking risky actions. This makes it easier for companies to trust the system. The launch also adds more heat to the global AI race where Anthropic is going up against OpenAI and Google for business customers.

You can now shop inside ChatGPT just like you chat. A new Buy Now button lets you purchase items directly, starting with Etsy. You ask for a birthday gift, ChatGPT finds it, and you check out instantly. No extra clicks, no new tabs, only one smooth flow from search to purchase.

📌The Download

  • The rollout starts in the United States with Etsy sellers, and Shopify will be added soon. Right now you can only buy one item at a time, but multi-item carts are coming. This means you can finish a quick purchase without leaving the chat.

  • Instant Checkout works when you ask for products like “best running shoes under $100.” ChatGPT shows organic results ranked on relevance. If a product supports checkout, you tap Buy, confirm details, and pay inside the chat. Subscribers can use a saved card or express options, while merchants handle shipping and fulfillment. ChatGPT simply acts as your digital assistant.

  • Payments run on Stripe and use the open-sourced Agentic Commerce Protocol. The service is free for you but sellers pay a small fee on completed sales. Results are not influenced by checkout. After the news, Etsy stock jumped 7.3% and Shopify also gained.

You can now ask Excel to create a full cash flow model or tell Word to draft a business report. Microsoft calls this “vibe working” and it is designed to save hours of manual work. With new AI agents in Office apps, prompts turn into ready documents in minutes.

📌The Download

  • Microsoft has launched Agent Mode in Excel and Word. You only write a natural prompt and the AI builds the file for you. It shows every step as it works so you can review and change it. This feels like a transparent macro but much smarter and easier to guide.

  • In Copilot chat, the new Office Agent powered by Anthropic models can create PowerPoint slides and Word drafts. It also pulls web research and gives live previews. The features are first rolling out in the web versions of Office and will reach the desktop apps later.

  • Microsoft says Agent Mode combines OpenAI GPT-5 with strong business controls. The Excel agent scored 57.2% on the SpreadsheetBench test while human experts scored 71.3%. The launch starts with Microsoft 365 Copilot Frontier users and also with Personal and Family plans.

ChatGPT now has parental controls for the first time. Parents can block sexual roleplay, stop image creation, or turn off memory so past chats are not stored. Teens must link their accounts but can unlink anytime. Parents get notifications, quiet hours, and more ways to guide AI use without reading private chats.

  • OpenAI is rolling out parental controls on the web now and says mobile is coming soon. Parents need their own accounts and teens must link voluntarily. With the new controls, parents can block features such as sexual roleplay or image generation and can turn off personalization by disabling memory.

  • In addition, parents can set quiet hours so teens cannot use ChatGPT at certain times. OpenAI also routes sensitive conversations to safer models. Teens can unlink accounts but parents are notified when this happens. Parents do not see chat history unless OpenAI detects a serious safety risk and raises an alert.

  • This launch follows a lawsuit filed after a California teen’s suicide where ChatGPT was accused of harmful advice. OpenAI is also working on age prediction technology so anyone under 18 automatically gets a restricted experience. Privacy groups warn the system may collect more data than needed or wrongly block adults.
