Hello There!

SpaceXAI shipped Grok 4.7, a bigger model trained longer on multi-hour tasks and sold at exactly the same price as Grok 4.6, which means the AI price war just turned into a capability war. ChatGPT can now pull your Experian credit report and VantageScore straight into a chat, which means the assistant that drafts your emails will also know why your card application got declined. And OpenAI spent UN week asking Washington to write the world's technical rules for frontier AI, which means the lab racing hardest toward self-improving AI would also like to hold the pen on the rulebook.

Here's what's making headlines in the world of AI and innovation today.

In today's AI Pulse

  • 🚀 Grok 4.7 Escalates the AI War – SpaceXAI's strongest model yet for coding and knowledge work ships at Grok 4.6 prices.

  • 💳 ChatGPT Watches Your Credit Score – US Plus and Pro users can now track their Experian report and VantageScore inside ChatGPT Finances.

  • 🌐 OpenAI Wants America Writing AI's Rules – A UN-week proposal asks Washington to lead global technical standards for frontier AI.

How Jennifer Aniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads

The DTC beauty category is crowded. To break through, Jennifer Aniston’s brand LolaVie, worked with Roku Ads Manager to easily set up, test, and optimize CTV ad creatives. The campaign helped drive a big lift in sales and customer growth, helping LolaVie break through in the crowded beauty category.

🧠 The Pulse

SpaceXAI released Grok 4.7 on September 21, calling it its strongest model yet for coding and professional knowledge work. It runs on a larger base model with a longer reinforcement-learning run aimed at tasks that take hours, ships with an entirely new safeguard stack, and costs exactly what Grok 4.6 did.

📌 The Download

  • Bigger model, same bill – Grok 4.7 uses a larger base than Grok 4.6 and a longer RL run weighted toward multi-hour problems, yet keeps Grok 4.6's pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output.

  • Coding scores jumped – SpaceXAI reports 46.3% on CursorBench 4.0 (up from 40.4%), 71.0% on DeepSWE v1.1 (from 65.2%) and 38.0% on Terminal-Bench 4.0, nearly double Grok 4.6's 20.3%.

  • Trained for office work – Gains extend to documents and presentations, with EEBench rising to 64.0% from 53.0% and the Harvey legal-agent benchmark to 19.6% from 15.8%, plus native support for the Grok Bot harness.

  • New guardrails, wide release – The new safeguard stack claims leading jailbreak resistance and tighter cyber and bio controls, and the model is live in Grok Build, the Grok API, Cursor, third-party coding tools, routers and cloud platforms.

💡 What This Means for You

Frontier capability just got cheaper without a price cut: the same money now buys a stronger model for code, documents and multi-hour agent tasks. Re-run your own evaluations rather than trusting the leaderboard, because the provider you standardized on six months ago may no longer be the best fit for your workflows.

🧠 The Pulse

OpenAI has added credit-score tracking to ChatGPT Finances. Eligible Plus and Pro subscribers in the US can now connect their Experian credit report and VantageScore 3.0 score, ask ChatGPT what is dragging the number down, and get monthly refreshes plus alerts whenever a new inquiry, account or address hits their file.

📌 The Download

  • Experian moves in – ChatGPT now displays an Experian-based VantageScore 3.0 on the 300 to 850 scale and explains the factors behind it, using a soft inquiry that does not affect your score.

  • Monitoring is built in – The connected score and report refresh monthly, and credit-monitoring alerts flag meaningful changes such as a new inquiry, a newly reported account or a new address.

  • No bank link required – The Experian connection is independent of the Plaid bank-account integration, so you can track credit without ever handing ChatGPT your checking account.

  • US first, and not all at once – The feature is rolling out to eligible Plus and Pro users on web, iOS and Android, some subscribers may not see it immediately, and disconnecting removes synced data within 30 days.

💡 What This Means for You

The assistant is graduating from answering money questions to monitoring your money. Convenient, but also a data-governance decision: whatever a connected feed surfaces in a conversation stays in your chat history even after you disconnect. Before plugging personal or company financial data into any AI assistant, check the retention rules, the connection scope and who else can see the thread.

🧠 The Pulse

In a proposal published during UN General Assembly week, OpenAI urged the United States to lead the creation of global technical standards for frontier AI, including systems capable of recursive self-improvement. The pitch calls for common measurements, incident reporting and alignment research that keeps pace with capability, coordinated through the US Center for AI Standards and Innovation.

📌 The Download

  • Washington should hold the pen – OpenAI argues the US, working through the Center for AI Standards and Innovation and allied safety institutes from the UK to India, should set complementary national and international frontier standards.

  • Measure before you regulate – The proposal wants shared evaluations for self-improvement progress, autonomous research capability and human-oversight requirements, so governments and labs read risk from one framework.

  • Report the incidents – It calls for standardized classification, tracking and reporting of AI incidents, from alignment failures to problems inside automated AI research.

  • The timing is deliberate – It lands as Sam Altman prepares to brief the UN Security Council, with OpenAI warning that hesitation means watching "a fragmented, uneven, and conflict-ridden system" take hold instead.

💡 What This Means for You

Standards are how voluntary safety promises become procurement checklists. If OpenAI's framework gains traction, expect enterprise AI purchases to start demanding standardized capability evaluations and incident-reporting commitments, the way ISO certification is demanded today. Nothing is binding yet, but this is the language your compliance and vendor-review teams will be speaking next.
