The Ultimate Claude Code Guide to ship like Anthropic engineers
AI will write 90% of code by the end of 2026, and only 10% of developers will stay relevant.
The engineers in that 10% aren't smarter. They just know how to use AI.
We put together the exact playbook Anthropic engineers use to make sure you're in the top 10%.

Hello There!
Google DeepMind's PlanAssist just cut planning officers' review time by 58% and is heading to 12 more English councils, which means the most dreaded paperwork in local government may finally have met its match. Apple is plugging Alibaba's Qwen into Siri for users in China, which means your iPhone's brain may now depend on which side of the border you are standing. And OpenAI says ChatGPT and Codex will share one usage limit from December, which means your late-night coding binge could quietly eat into tomorrow's emails.

🧠 The Pulse
Google DeepMind and the UK government are expanding PlanAssist, a Gemini-built tool that helps council officers assess householder planning applications. Early pilots in Barnet, Camden and Dorset cut average assessment time by 58%. Twelve more councils now join a 12-month live beta, while qualified planning officers keep every final decision.
📌 The Download
Pilots become a beta – After trials in Barnet, Camden and Dorset, 12 more councils, including Bristol, Newcastle and Westminster, join a 12-month test on live applications, bringing the total to 15.
Faster first drafts – Officers' average time on householder assessment tasks fell 58% in the pilots, and more than 70% of AI-generated reports were accepted without edits.
Evidence stays visible – PlanAssist checks drawings, local and national policy, heritage constraints and past objections, then drafts a cited report officers can inspect and revise.
National rollout is conditional – The government aims to offer PlanAssist to every council in England in 2027, but only if the expanded testing succeeds.
💡 What This Means for You
This is the pattern worth copying: AI does the cross-referencing and the first draft, while people keep the decision and the accountability. Look for review work in your role that checks documents against consistent rules. Pilot AI on the evidence gathering, measure cycle time and rework, and verify outputs before anything consequential ships.

🧠 The Pulse
Apple confirmed its first Apple Intelligence features for mainland China, with Alibaba's Qwen powering selected Siri requests, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence. A developer beta arrives November 4 through iOS 27.3, with a public release in December. It is a China-only partnership, not a worldwide Siri replacement.
📌 The Download
Beta lands this week – Apple's China newsroom says the iOS 27.3 developer beta arrives November 4, with the public release following in December.
Qwen joins the stack – Users in China will reach Alibaba's Qwen through Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence for text and image tasks, without switching apps.
Familiar features arrive – The first batch includes Live Translation, Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence, Genmoji and the Clean Up photo tool on iPhone 15 Pro and newer models.
Big limits remain – The rollout excludes the next-generation Siri AI shown at WWDC 2026, so Apple Intelligence in China will differ noticeably from the global version.
💡 What This Means for You
Global teams can no longer assume one AI experience across every office. The same iPhone may run different models, features and data rules depending on the country. If your organization operates across regions, map which AI tools are actually available where, and design processes that still work when features differ.

🧠 The Pulse
Starting in December, ChatGPT Plus, Pro and Business plans will draw from one shared usage limit across ChatGPT and Codex. Usage will be measured in tokens, so heavier models and complex tasks burn more of the allowance, while Instant chat will not count. Exact allowances per plan have not been published yet.
📌 The Download
One pool, two tools – OpenAI's own checkout notice says plan usage will share a limit across all of ChatGPT and Codex starting in December, tied to folding Work into ChatGPT.
Tokens set the pace – Consumption is measured in tokens, so advanced models and long agent tasks drain the allowance much faster than quick everyday chats.
Clearer dashboards – A combined balance and reset time will appear under Settings, and users who hit the cap can wait, change plans or buy credits.
Key numbers missing – OpenAI has not named the exact start date or token amounts per plan, and its claim that most users will not hit limits more often is a forecast.
💡 What This Means for You
If you use AI for both writing and building, your heavy coding sessions and your everyday drafting will soon compete for the same budget. Watch your usage panel in December, save demanding agent runs for work that truly needs them, and keep a fallback ready for deadline days.
