Hello There!
Anthropic just let Claude read your bank and card accounts, which means "where did my money go?" finally has an answer that isn't a shrug. Google showed a pencil sketch turning into a working app inside Gemini, which means the napkin from your last meeting is now a prototype. And OpenAI put GPT-6 through 100 real lab tasks, which means AI is getting much better at science while still miscounting the bacteria.

Anthropic has launched Personal Finance in Claude, a US beta that lets Pro, Max, and Ultra subscribers connect bank and card accounts and ask money questions in plain language. Access runs through Plaid and is strictly read-only, so Claude can explain where your money went but cannot move a cent.
📌 The Download
Plain-language money answers – Ask "Where did my money go this month?" and Claude totals spending across connected accounts by category, then handles follow-ups like spotting double charges or creeping bills.
Read-only by design – Logins happen on a Plaid screen, so Claude never sees your bank password, and it cannot transfer money, pay bills, or make investments.
Two years of history – Claude can read up to 24 months of transactions plus balances and credit limits, giving it enough data to surface spending patterns and recurring costs.
Privacy and no ads – Chats inside the Personal Finance hub are not used to train Anthropic's models, and the feature carries no ads or sponsored financial products.
💡 What This Means for You
AI assistants are moving from your documents into your most sensitive data. Before connecting anything, at home or at work, ask three questions: what exactly can it see, what can it do, and is my data used for training. Clear answers to those questions are the new baseline for trusting any AI tool.

🧠 The Pulse
Google is showing Gemini users how to turn a quick paper drawing into a live, interactive app. Photograph a sketch, open the Canvas tool, and ask Gemini to code it. You can then test the result in a preview window and refine colors, fonts, or features just by asking, with no coding required.
📌 The Download
Paper is the new prototype – Upload a photo of an app mock-up, habit tracker, or game board, and Gemini uses the drawing as the visual blueprint for what to build.
One simple prompt – In Canvas, asking "Can you code this app?" is enough for Gemini to read the sketch and write the working code behind it.
Edit by conversation – The app runs in a live preview window, and Gemini adjusts colors, fonts, and features in real time as you describe the changes you want.
A workflow, not a new product – Google's November 5 post showcases existing Gemini Canvas capabilities rather than announcing a new model or a standalone app builder.
💡 What This Means for You
The gap between an idea and a working tool is shrinking fast. Next time you sketch a tracker, checklist, or dashboard in a meeting, try turning it into a prototype the same day. Just review what gets built for accuracy and data security before your team starts relying on it.

🧠 The Pulse
OpenAI has introduced BioBasicsBench, a 100-task benchmark built with biotech firm Ligo to test whether AI agents can read messy, real wet-lab evidence. GPT-6 Astra earned 66.7% of available credit versus 43.8% for GPT-5.6 Sol, a big jump that still left meaningful errors in everyday lab judgments.
📌 The Download
Built from real bench work – Ligo scientists wrote the tasks from their own experiments, using raw gel images, colony plates, microscopy, sequencing files, instrument exports, and lab videos.
Tests judgment, not memory – Agents must interpret the data, spot experimental errors, and recognize when the evidence is too weak to support any conclusion at all.
A big jump in scores – At its top reasoning setting, GPT-6 Astra averaged 66.7% of rubric credit, with a 95% confidence interval of 60.3% to 73.1%.
Mistakes still matter – OpenAI cautions that higher scores do not yet mean reliable lab judgments, and the model still misread some experiments and miscounted bacterial colonies.
💡 What This Means for You
AI can improve dramatically and still be wrong on the one call that matters. Use it to speed up first-pass analysis, organize evidence, and surface options, but keep human verification on any conclusion that drives a decision, a budget, or a customer outcome. Trust the gains, and audit the outputs.
