OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT’s memory: a visible, editable summary the assistant writes about you and keeps current on its own. Powered by a background process called Dreaming V3, it captures context naturally instead of waiting for you to say “remember this.” Plus and Pro users in the US get it first.

• Coming to free users – A roughly 5x cut in compute lets OpenAI begin rolling editable memory out to free accounts over the coming weeks, alongside doubled storage capacity.

• US first – Plus and Pro users in the US see the upgrade first, with a global rollout to Free and Go accounts following in the coming weeks.

Fake call detection rolls out globally this month, starting on Pixel.

• Spots scams – Fake call detection uses an encrypted handshake between Phone by Google apps to flag spoofed calls impersonating your contacts, on by default for Android 12+.
