🚨 ChatGPT Just Started Remembering Everything About You

OpenAI’s memory now learns you automatically (yes, you can edit it), teachers say AI will eclipse the internet, and Android learns to spot deepfake scam calls.

AI Agents Are Reading Your Docs. Are You Ready?

Last month, 48% of visitors to documentation sites across Mintlify were AI agents, not humans.

Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents are becoming the actual customers reading your docs. And they read everything.

This changes what good documentation means. Humans skim and forgive gaps. Agents methodically check every endpoint, read every guide, and compare you against alternatives with zero fatigue.

Your docs aren't just helping users anymore. They're your product's first interview with the machines deciding whether to recommend you.

That means: clear schema markup so agents can parse your content, real benchmarks instead of marketing fluff, open endpoints agents can actually test, and honest comparisons that emphasize strengths without hype.

Mintlify powers documentation for over 20,000 companies, reaching 100M+ people every year. We just raised a $45M Series B led by @a16z and @SalesforceVC to build the knowledge layer for the agent era.

Hello There!

OpenAI just gave ChatGPT an editable memory that quietly learns who you are and updates itself, which means you can finally correct the robot before it gets you wrong. Nearly three in four K-12 teachers now say AI will reshape education more than the internet did, which means the classroom your kids walk into is being rebuilt in real time. And Android’s June drop can spot deepfake scam calls, shop your whole outfit, and recap your books, which means your phone is quietly becoming your bodyguard, stylist, and book club.

2026 State of AEO Report

A year ago, most marketers weren't thinking about AI search. Now it's one of the fastest moving channels in the industry and nobody has a playbook yet.

So we built one. We surveyed hundreds of marketers to find out how they're approaching answer engine optimization, where they're investing, what's actually working, and what isn't.

The result is the 2026 State of AEO Report. Real data. Real strategies. A clear picture of where AI search is headed and how to get ahead of it.

OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT’s memory: a visible, editable summary the assistant writes about you and keeps current on its own. Powered by a background process called Dreaming V3, it captures context naturally instead of waiting for you to say ā€œremember this.ā€ Plus and Pro users in the US get it first.

šŸ“ŒThe Download

  • You can edit it – ChatGPT now shows a written memory summary you can read, add to, update and steer, so you can fix wrong details before they shape future answers.

  • Dreaming V3 – A background process synthesizes memories automatically and replaces the old saved-memories list, with existing memories updating themselves over time.

  • Coming to free users – A roughly 5x cut in compute lets OpenAI begin rolling editable memory out to free accounts over the coming weeks, alongside doubled storage capacity.

  • US first – Plus and Pro users in the US see the upgrade first, with a global rollout to Free and Go accounts following in the coming weeks.

šŸ’”What This Means for You

Persistent, editable memory turns ChatGPT from a stateless tool into an assistant that knows your context, but it also puts the accuracy of that profile in your hands. Audit what it remembers about you, correct mistakes early, and treat the memory summary like any record that quietly shapes decisions about your work.

🧠The Pulse

A new NPR/Ipsos poll of 545 K-12 teachers found nearly three in four believe AI’s impact on education will eclipse past shifts like the internet or computers. Many use AI to save prep time and improve materials, but a majority worry it is making it harder for students to learn to think for themselves.

šŸ“ŒThe Download

  • Bigger than the web – Nearly 3 in 4 teachers say AI’s implications for education outweigh those of the internet or computers.

  • Thinking at risk – A majority worry AI is eroding students’ independent thinking, and nearly 6 in 10 say it is weakening student-teacher trust.

  • Back to basics – About 4 in 10 teachers now require more work done by hand, and 4 in 10 require more assignments completed in class.

  • Teach the tool – Nearly 8 in 10 teachers say schools should actively teach responsible AI use rather than ban it.

šŸ’”What This Means for You

The people closest to the next workforce are signaling a generational shift in how thinking and learning happen. Whether you train teams or raise kids, the lesson is the same: pair AI fluency with deliberate practice in independent reasoning, so judgment grows alongside the tools rather than atrophying behind them.

Google’s June Android Drop layers AI across the phone: fake call detection that flags deepfake impersonation scams, a Google Photos digital wardrobe paired with Circle to Search outfit shopping, and AI Book Insights in Play Books that recap chapters and answer questions. Fake call detection rolls out globally this month, starting on Pixel.

šŸ“ŒThe Download

  • Spots scams – Fake call detection uses an encrypted handshake between Phone by Google apps to flag spoofed calls impersonating your contacts, on by default for Android 12+.

  • Styles you – Google Photos builds a searchable digital wardrobe from your pictures, while Circle to Search can now identify and shop an entire outfit at once.

  • Reads with you – Play Books adds AI Book Insights with a ā€œcatch me upā€ recap button and highlight-to-ask Q&A for select English titles.

  • Rolling out now – The features arrive through the June Android Drop, starting on Pixel and select Samsung devices before wider availability.

šŸ’”What This Means for You

AI is moving off the chatbot screen and into the everyday phone, quietly handling security, shopping and reading. For professionals it is a preview of ambient AI: assistants that act without being asked. Decide which conveniences are worth the data they require, and sharpen scam awareness as deepfake calls get harder to spot.
