😳 Did ChatGPT Just Replace Your Designer?
OpenAI's Images 2.6 is 50% faster and now makes GIFs, Claude just helped crack a 40-year biology mystery, and Meta bought the startup that lets one developer run a whole team of AI coders.

Why are so many brands shifting ad spend to CTV?
People spend more time streaming than they do with cable, social media or video games, and advertisers know it. In fact, according to Advertiser Perceptions and Premion's 2026 CTV/OTT Advertiser Survey, 70% of advertisers are raising CTV budgets in 2026, with much of that budget diverted from social advertising.
For marketers who want a presence in streaming, Roku is the obvious place to go, with scale that speaks for itself. With more than 100 million households representing 47% of all streaming time in the US, Roku easily has more reach than every competitor.
With Roku Ads Manager, you can reach viewers across more than 100 premium apps in a single buy. Combine your customer data with Roku's insights to reach only the households you want, then measure and optimize to your heart's content.
Want to give it a try? Unleash your first campaign in just four steps: (1) Create your account, (2) define your objective and target audience, (3) upload creative, and (4) launch.

Hello There!
OpenAI just made its image engine 50% faster and taught it to make GIFs, which means your next slide visual may be ready before your coffee is. Claude helped Anthropic's scientists map a cellular mystery that has puzzled biologists since 1986, which means AI has officially earned its lab coat. And Meta snapped up Conductor, a startup that lets one developer run a whole team of coding agents, which means the battle over who manages your AI coworkers just got personal.

🧠The Pulse
OpenAI launched Images 2.6 across ChatGPT, Codex and its API, adding animated GIF creation, saved reference images and two new developer models that generate images 50% faster. The release targets professional visuals such as posters and product shots, and keeps characters and brand details consistent across successive rounds of edits.
📌The Download
Two models, two jobs – GPT-Image-2.6 Flare can produce an image in as little as six seconds, while Sunburst trades speed for higher quality and more consistent edits.
GIFs arrive in ChatGPT – Users can turn a prompt or photo into an animated loop, adjust playback speed, edit individual frames and share the result.
Save once, reuse often – Reference images of yourself, pets and characters can be stored and reused in new creations without uploading them again.
Built for scale – Users already create about 4 billion images a week, and Images 2.6 reaches every ChatGPT and Codex tier, with image markup and SVG export in the API.
💡What This Means for You
The gap between an idea and a presentable visual is shrinking to seconds. Use that speed to test more concepts, mock up slides and explain processes visually, but keep a human check on accuracy, brand rules and usage rights. Professionals who communicate in pictures, not just paragraphs, will stand out.
🧠The Pulse
Anthropic's in-house biology team used Claude to produce the first 3D structure of a vault, a giant hollow protein shell first spotted in 1986, built from a protein made by a virus that infects bacteria. Claude searched about 15 billion proteins, designed DNA constructs and processed microscopy data, cutting a three-day purification to roughly 90 minutes.
📌The Download
A decades-old enigma – Vaults sit by the thousands in animal and plant cells with no known function, and this is the first direct evidence that bacteria and their viruses make them too.
Claude did the heavy lifting – Under human direction, it mined a 15-billion-protein database, designed constructs, proposed a faster purification method and ran the cryo-EM software.
Weeks became hours – A first structural model was ready 34 hours after processing began, a job the team estimates would normally have taken weeks.
A bigger, stranger shell – The phage vault uses 96 copies of one protein versus 78 in human vaults, though Anthropic admits Claude also suggested ideas that failed in the lab.
💡What This Means for You
AI is moving from drafting reports to accelerating real discovery. The same pattern works on the job: let AI scan options, design experiments and crunch data while you set direction and verify results. Treat its suggestions as hypotheses to test, not answers to trust, and your problem-solving cycle can shrink dramatically.
🧠The Pulse
Meta has acquired Conductor, a startup whose Mac app lets developers run several AI coding agents in parallel. The team joins Meta Superintelligence Labs and terms were not disclosed. Conductor is winding down its product: new sign-ups stopped on November 4, and Conductor Cloud shuts down on November 20.
📌The Download
Talent for the agent wars – Conductor's team, led by CEO Charlie Holtz, joins Meta Superintelligence Labs, three months after Meta launched its own coding agent, Muse Code.
A fast wind-down – Cloud workspaces go read-only on November 13, active subscribers get refunds, and cloud user data deletion begins at the November 20 shutdown.
Local users get a runway – The Mac app keeps receiving new models and critical bug fixes until early 2027, and existing Pro users keep Pro features for free.
Something new is coming – Holtz says the team has "big, crazy plans for the next interface," hinting at a new way to manage AI coworkers.
💡What This Means for You
The tools you build workflows on can disappear in two weeks, even when the technology works. Keep exports of important AI outputs, know where your data lives and avoid single-vendor lock-in for critical processes. The bigger signal: directing multiple AI agents is becoming a core professional skill, so start practicing now.
