🎯 Claude Levels Up with Massive Prompt Limit

Anthropic has upgraded Claude Sonnet 4 to handle one million tokens in a single prompt. That is enough to process entire books or codebases in one go. The move is aimed at big spending enterprise users and puts Claude in direct competition with OpenAI’s most advanced long context models.

📌The Download

• Anthropic says Claude Sonnet 4 can now process one million tokens at once, up from the previous 200,000. That equals about 2500 pages of text or more than 100,000 lines of code in one request. The change is live for API customers and select cloud platforms.

• With this, Claude can now work on long coding tasks without forgetting earlier steps, owing to the larger memory space. It can keep track of every step in tasks that take minutes or hours. In contrast, Gemini 2.5 Pro from Google handles only 2 million tokens, and Meta’s Llama 4 Scout manages 10 million.

• Pricing for prompts up to 200,000 tokens stays at 3 dollars per million input tokens and 15 dollars per million output tokens. For anything above 200,000 tokens, the price is 6 dollars per million input tokens and 22.50 dollars per million output tokens. This new one million token context window is in beta for Tier 4 and custom rate customers and will expand soon via Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud Vertex AI.

🔥 Apple Brings GPT-5 to iPhone's iOS 26 Upgrade

Apple is replacing GPT 4o with GPT 5 in Apple Intelligence. When iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS Tahoe 26 arrive, users will get faster reasoning, richer responses and smarter AI features. The release is expected to land with the iPhone 17 in September.

• GPT 5 will be built into Apple Intelligence for the first time. The model was released globally on August 7 and will replace GPT 4o in core features such as Siri upgrades, AI writing tools, image generation and Visual Intelligence.

• Beta versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS Tahoe 26 are already available to developers and public testers, but GPT 5 is not yet active in those builds. It is expected to go live in mid to late September. Once live, it will not require an OpenAI account. If you link one, you can use custom instructions and extra features.

• Analysts see this as a major step for Apple’s AI plans. GPT 5 will bring richer conversation, live translation and more personalized tools. However, Apple will still rely on OpenAI for the most advanced AI work.

🥇 OpenAI's AI Strikes Gold at Programming Olympiad

OpenAI’s AI aced one of the toughest programming contests in the world. In the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), it beat nearly every human in the online track. From average last year to gold level now, this is one of AI’s most impressive coding leaps.

• OpenAI’s reasoning system came sixth out of about 330 human contestants in the IOI 2025 online track. It was the top AI competitor and worked under the same rules as humans, with five hours to solve problems, a limit of 50 submissions, and no internet. The contest focused on tough coding and logic challenges.

• Last year the same system placed around the 49th percentile. This year it reached the 98th percentile at the IOI that was held in Sucre Bolivia. The two day contest gives participants to solve three complex problems in C++. 

• This gold-level result is similar to AI’s recent win at the International Mathematical Olympiad. It shows AI is getting much better at solving hard problems under pressure. Humans still win sometimes, but the gap is closing quickly.

 ⚡ xAI’s Grok 4 Is Now Free: No Subscription Needed

Elon Musk’s xAI made its newest AI model Grok 4 free for everyone. No subscription and no paywall. The move comes only weeks after launch and days after GPT 5 took the spotlight. It is a bold attempt to attract more users with generous limits and extra creative tools.

• Grok 4 was released in July 2025 and was only available to SuperGrok and X Premium subscribers. On August 10, Musk announced global free access with both Auto mode and Expert mode available. Auto Mode decides on its own when to use Grok 4 for tougher questions and switches to lighter models for quick ones. Expert Mode lets you send every question directly to Grok 4 so you always get its full power. 

• Grok 4 Heavy is a stronger version made for very large or complex tasks. It works faster and can handle more information at once, but it is still only available to people who pay for the Heavy plan.

• Free accounts can ask about five questions every twelve hours. Grok Imagine, the company’s image and video generation tool, is also free for a short time in the United States. Users can choose realistic or artistic styles and try basic video features without paying.
