🚨 10,000 Home Robots Just Sold Out in 5 Days

America's first home-robot factory is already sold out, Microsoft just dumped GPT-4 from Copilot, and Anthropic filed for a record $965B IPO.

AI Agents Are Reading Your Docs. Are You Ready?

Last month, 48% of visitors to documentation sites across Mintlify were AI agents, not humans.

Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents are becoming the actual customers reading your docs. And they read everything.

This changes what good documentation means. Humans skim and forgive gaps. Agents methodically check every endpoint, read every guide, and compare you against alternatives with zero fatigue.

Your docs aren't just helping users anymore. They're your product's first interview with the machines deciding whether to recommend you.

That means: clear schema markup so agents can parse your content, real benchmarks instead of marketing fluff, open endpoints agents can actually test, and honest comparisons that emphasize strengths without hype.

Mintlify powers documentation for over 20,000 companies, reaching 100M+ people every year. We just raised a $45M Series B led by @a16z and @SalesforceVC to build the knowledge layer for the agent era.

Hello There!

OpenAI-backed 1X just opened America’s first humanoid-robot factory and sold its entire first year of NEO units in five days, which means your next coworker may show up in a shipping crate instead of through HR. Microsoft turned Windows into a home for AI agents and quietly began swapping OpenAI’s GPT-4 out of Copilot for its own model, which means your favorite coding sidekick is about to get a brain transplant. Meanwhile, Anthropic confidentially filed to go public at a jaw-dropping $965 billion valuation, which means the maker of Claude could become one of the biggest market debuts in history before it even turns a profit.

Here's what's making headlines in the world of AI and innovation today.

🧠The Pulse

OpenAI-backed robotics startup 1X has begun full-scale production of its NEO humanoid robot at a new factory in Hayward, California, the first vertically integrated humanoid-robot plant in the United States. The company sold out its entire first-year run of more than 10,000 units in just five days, and is already ramping toward 100,000 robots a year by the end of 2027.

📌The Download

  • Production is live – The Hayward facility has commenced full-scale production with a team of more than 200 employees, ramping toward an initial capacity of 10,000 NEO units per year.

  • Sold out in days – 1X sold its entire first-year production of more than 10,000 units in just five days, with consumer deliveries beginning in 2026.

  • Built in-house – 1X designs and manufactures its own motors, batteries, sensors, structures and transmission systems, keeping end-to-end control over quality and cost.

  • Scaling fast – With automation upgrades and a second factory in San Carlos coming online, 1X expects to reach 100,000 robots per year by the end of 2027.

Humanoid robots are crossing from demo reels into real production lines. As affordable general-purpose robots reach homes and workplaces, professionals should start mapping which physical tasks could be automated, and how human-robot collaboration will reshape roles, safety and training.

🧠The Pulse

At Build 2026 in San Francisco, Satya Nadella turned Windows into a first-class home for AI agents, releasing the Windows Agent Framework, a Windows Agent Store and Azure Agent Mesh. In a surprise move, Microsoft also unveiled Project Polaris, its own coding model that will replace OpenAI's GPT-4 inside GitHub Copilot.

📌The Download

  • Windows Agent Framework ships – Microsoft's new runtime lets desktop apps run as autonomous agents, with session management, memory, planning and multi-agent coordination built into the OS.

  • An app store for agents – A dedicated Windows Agent Store lets developers distribute paid and free agents, with Microsoft offering an 85% revenue share and early partners including Adobe and Zoom.

  • Project Polaris replaces GPT-4 – Microsoft's homegrown coding model becomes Copilot's default by August 2026, with a three-month fallback for teams that want to stay on GPT-4.

  • Azure Agent Mesh – A new service runs agents across Windows 365, Azure Arc and on-premises systems, giving enterprises one orchestration layer for local and cloud agents.

💡What This Means for You

Windows and Azure are becoming agent-first platforms. If you build or buy software, expect to deploy AI agents as easily as apps, and watch how Microsoft leaning on its own model instead of OpenAI could change the cost, speed and behavior of the Copilot tools your team relies on.

🧠The Pulse

Anthropic, the maker of the Claude AI assistant, has confidentially filed for a U.S. IPO that could rank among the largest in history. The filing follows a funding round that valued the company at roughly $965 billion, and positions Anthropic to beat rival OpenAI to the public markets as soon as this fall.

📌The Download

  • Confidential filing – Anthropic submitted draft IPO paperwork to the SEC, though the number of shares and the price have not yet been set.

  • Staggering valuation – A recent round valued Anthropic at about $965 billion, eclipsing OpenAI's valuation for the first time.

  • Explosive growth – The company says its revenue run rate has reached $47 billion, up from $10 billion a year earlier.

  • Racing OpenAI – By filing first, Anthropic gets ahead of OpenAI, which is preparing its own confidential listing, in a sprint to capture investor appetite for AI.

💡What This Means for You

Public markets are about to put a price on frontier AI. Whether you work in tech or finance, watch how investors value a fast-growing but still-unprofitable AI lab, because the benchmark it sets will ripple through funding, valuations and competition across the industry.
